Andrew Carr Returns to the Court at Portsmouth Invitational Tournament

Andrew Carr may not have had a high-scoring game in his Portsmouth Invitational Tournament (PIT) debut, but he certainly made an impact in other ways. Despite only scoring two points, Carr recorded five rebounds, three steals, three blocks, and an assist in his team’s 81-75 victory last night. Tonight, Carr and his Portsmouth Sports Club teammates will face off against Jani-King, with the hopes of showcasing their skills to NBA scouts in attendance.

The PIT is a crucial event in the NBA Draft process where 64 Division I seniors, including Carr, have the opportunity to catch the eye of NBA representatives. Carr, a former Kentucky player, averaged 10.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game during his lone season at Kentucky. He struggled with back problems during the season but finished strong, scoring in double figures in five of the last eight games.

Despite being ranked No. 93 on ESPN’s Top 100 NBA Draft prospect list, Carr is looking to boost his stock with a strong showing at the PIT. With representatives from every NBA team in attendance, Carr has the opportunity to impress and potentially earn a spot in the professional league. Fans can watch Carr’s games live on PrepSpin and stay updated on his performance in the tournament.
