Ahkeema Love, the mother of New Orleans Pelican Zion Williamson’s child, was arrested for a home invasion incident involving a woman who she saw as a romantic rival. Love allegedly shared a romantic partner with the victim and had previously vandalized her home before sending threatening messages on Instagram. Love, who gave birth to a child she shares with their romantic partner, physically attacked the victim at her residence, causing injuries including lacerations and torn fingernails. Love was arrested at Zion Williamson’s home and has since been released on bond with an order of protection issued against her.
Zion Williamson, a forward for the Pelicans, was not named in the affidavit. He and Love have a daughter together born in 2023. In March, Love announced her pregnancy on social media without naming the father, but she has posted photos with Williamson in the past. The Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s office declined to comment on the case. Zion Williamson has also chosen not to comment on the incident. Love’s attorney has not provided any comment on the matter. Love faces charges of home invasion, aggravated battery, and stalking in connection to the incident.
