Top Kentucky Guard Airmen Named: Billings, Trojanowski, Woodard


The Kentucky Air National Guard is set to honor Airman 1st Class Annaliese Billings, Tech. Sgt. Philip Trojanowski, and Master Sgt. Kevin Woodard as the 2024 Airmen of the Year during the upcoming Airman’s Gala at the Woodhaven Country Club on March 15. Chief Master Sergeant Steve Best praised the honorees for their exceptional commitment to the mission of the 123rd Airlift Wing.

Billings, Trojanowski, and Woodard have all demonstrated outstanding skills and talents in their respective roles within the Air National Guard. Billings, a public affairs specialist, received recognition for her coverage of important missions and events, including a member’s successful repatriation of fallen Marines. Trojanowski, a combat control craftsman, showcased exceptional expertise in air traffic control and training activities. Woodard, a base services manager, led the Fatality Search and Recovery Team during a critical mission following Hurricane Helene.

The Outstanding Airman of the Year program honors the dedication and achievements of the Air Force’s enlisted force, with recipients displaying superior leadership, job performance, community involvement, and personal achievement. Chief Master Sergeant Best commended the Airmen for their accomplishments, stating they strengthen the team and embody the spirit of the wing. The gala will celebrate their achievements and recognize their contributions to the Kentucky Air National Guard.
