The Kentucky Sports Factory in Madisonville celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, showcasing a state-of-the-art facility that offers top-tier sports amenities, events, and programs. Local leaders, including Mayor Kevin Cotton and Judge-Executive Jack Whitfield, highlighted the city and county partnership that made the facility possible. Mayor Cotton emphasized the vision of creating a year-round indoor space, while Judge Whitfield noted the benefits of encouraging kids to be active and boosting economic opportunities.
General Manager Brett Roddy reported that the facility has already hosted several tournaments since its soft opening in January, with Assistant General Manager TJ Phaep highlighting the daily activities available to the community. The 90,000-square-foot facility features six hardwood basketball courts, convertible to volleyball or pickleball courts, a turf soccer field, batting cages, concessions, party rooms, and office spaces.
The facility aims to host sports events and community gatherings, providing a versatile space for a variety of activities. With the support of local leaders and the community, the Kentucky Sports Factory is poised to be a hub of sports and recreation, driving economic growth and opportunities for the region.
