Abdur-Rahim, a rising star in the coaching world, led the Bulls to the American Athletic Conference regular-season championship last season and was named as the AAC’s coach of the year. He previously had success coaching at Kennesaw State, where his team made the NCAA Tournament.

The current USF team, picked third in the AAC preseason poll, is set to begin their season soon.
